Karl recently had a heart procedure called LVAD, a surgery which is just one step removed from a heart transplant. and is doing well, better than the docs have expected. He is out of ICU and into the next stage for his type of surgery and breathing on his own. He is still weak, unable to raise a cup to his mouth to drink but able to eat. The two week mandatory training for his 24/7caregivers starts tomorrow and continues for two weeks with a required written test at the conclusion.

Essentially he wears a vest with both a cardiac assist pump and a 7lb battery supporting the pump. Both are external and a tube of some sort connects through his abdomen to the heart essentially the term LVAD – or Left Ventricle Assist Device. We appreciate all of your continued prayers.

PRAYER WARRIORS NEEDED

Please pray for my daughter Mary’s friend son . They are heading up to Denver today , because a boy under 10 yrs old has a hole in his heart, going to try a less invasive procedure thru catheter first , if doesn’t work then they have to open him up.

Please pray for me for strength. I am very exhausted today (Mar 4). I has stage 4 kidney disease, also is bi-polar, has PTSD and LCD(?). I'm trying to get to New York where my ex-husband (who I'm still stays in contact with and we both still love each other) works and I would be closer to her family.

• needs prayer for strength and health to be able to travel and for her to secure a skilled nursing facility for her to move into (I'm in a skilled nursing facility here).

• Pray for full healing of my kidney disease or at least to maintain a progression of better percentage - in October they measured the kidney operating at 20%. One month ago it raised to 23%.

• My mother and younger brother (in NY) both have colds along with other family history of illnesses. Pray for their healing

• Pray for all of my friends, loved ones and God's creation to be healed from illnesses they may be dealing with.

Steve has terrible back problems, just had an operation, and things aren't much better.

Please pray for pain relief, and that after the pain diminishes, that he won't overdo it. He is already tempted to try to do small things that he shouldn't. It's hard for him to wait on healing and he needs to feel busy/productive.

Wisdom for financial decisions as the family has to adjust to reduced income for a time.
